What to Bring to the Consultation
Clients are encouraged to bring their bank account information, as well as retirement 401(k), IRA, or pension plan information, if available. Information about real property owned, the value of the property, and the mortgage or HELOC against the property.
If minor children are involved, we will want to know the amount of the premium for their health insurance, any cost of daycare, extra educational expense, and if a child is a special needs child, the monthly cost incurred for those needs.
Debts: At the meeting, clients are asked to provide the name of their creditors and the approximate balances of each debt, including mortgages, student loans, vehicle loans, and credit cards. Information about the couple’s incomes must also be provided.
